On Wednesday, the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs will conduct the second in a series of oversight hearings exploring the role of the Defense Department’s new Africa combatant command (AFRICOM) in relation to overall U.S. diplomatic, development, and defense interests and activities in Africa.
On Tuesday, July 15th at 10:00 am, the Subcommittee on Naitonal Security and Foreign Affairs will hold a hearing entitled, “AFRICOM: Rationales, Roles, and Progress on the Eve of Operations.”
On June 24, the Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled, “Oversight of U.S. Coalition Support Funds to Pakistan,” at 2:00 pm in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
